Senate Intelligence Vice Chairman Mark Warner has expressed concerns regarding the nomination of Tulsi Gabbard for the position of director of national intelligence by President-elect Donald Trump. Warner stated that he has not yet received the FBI background check for Gabbard and cautioned that her statements may not align with the best interests of America.
Warner emphasized the significance of the role of director of national intelligence, highlighting the need for individuals who possess a deep understanding of global national security implications. He specifically pointed out his reservations about Gabbard's views on various issues, such as her stance on Edward Snowden and her comments regarding Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
