Sen. Dick Durbin, the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, announced on Thursday that Democrats on the panel intend to postpone the vote on Kash Patel's nomination to be FBI director by one week. This decision comes after concerns were raised regarding certain aspects of Patel's testimony.
Earlier this week, committee Democrats requested Chairman Chuck Grassley to arrange a second hearing to address these concerns. However, Grassley declined the request and indicated his intention to proceed with the vote on Patel's nomination 'as soon as next week.'
