Earlier reports indicated that Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal, a committee member, has urged the release of reports from the two veteran's groups that Hegseth was involved with. With only a few weeks left before the committee transitions to GOP control, Democrats are aware that time is running out for them to exercise such authority.
It was noted earlier this week that Armed Services chairman Roger Wicker has expressed confidence in eventually obtaining the report in question.
