Senate Confirms Linda Mcmahon As Secretary Of Education

This afternoon, the Senate voted 51-45 to confirm Linda McMahon, the former CEO of WWE, as the new Secretary of the Department of Education. McMahon, who previously served as the administrator of the Small Business Administration during President Donald Trump's first administration, is now the 22nd nominee of President Trump to be confirmed by the Senate since his inauguration.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune expressed his support for McMahon, stating, 'I look forward to working with Linda McMahon to limit bureaucracy, empower state and local governments, and allow good teachers to focus on helping students succeed.'

McMahon previously served as Small Business Administration administrator.
