Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat from Massachusetts, has expressed her support for a Joint Resolution of Disapproval introduced by Vermont Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders. The resolution aims to block President Biden's recent arms sale to Israel.

Sanders plans to bring a vote on the resolution this week, citing Israel's alleged violation of international law by failing to adequately provide humanitarian aid to Gazans during the conflict with Hamas.

Warren echoed Sanders' concerns, stating that the Biden administration had given Israel 30 days to increase humanitarian aid to Gaza or face consequences under U.S. law. Despite Israel's failure to meet these demands, the flow of offensive weapons from the U.S. to Israel has not been restricted.

Last month, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin warned Israel that if the humanitarian situation in Gaza did not improve, future military support could be restricted. However, after the 30-day deadline, the U.S. determined that Israel had made limited progress and was not in violation of international law.

Warren criticized this decision, arguing that Israel's actions did not meet the criteria set out by the U.S. and worsened the situation in Gaza. She and Sanders are now pushing for a joint resolution of disapproval to reverse the executive branch's actions.

Warren emphasized the importance of enforcing U.S. law and holding the Netanyahu government accountable through legislative means if the administration fails to act.
