Senator Marsha Blackburn, a Republican from Tennessee, is reportedly considering a gubernatorial bid, as sources from Washington, D.C., and Tennessee have revealed. Elected officials at both state and federal levels have been reaching out to show their support for Blackburn's potential candidacy.
Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs has publicly expressed his endorsement for Blackburn, stating that she has excelled in her roles as a state senator, U.S. congresswoman, and U.S. Senator. He emphasized that Blackburn would have his full support if she decides to run for Governor.

Blackburn, who has been serving in the Senate since early 2019, recently secured re-election for another six-year term that extends until early 2031. She has been vocal about her commitment to upholding conservative values and advocating for the people of Tennessee, as evidenced by her tweet marking the start of the 2025 Tennessee Legislative Session.
With current Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, also a Republican, ineligible to run in the 2026 election due to term limits, the field is open for other GOP figures interested in competing for the gubernatorial position. Blackburn's potential entry into the race adds a significant dynamic to the upcoming election cycle in Tennessee.
