Vance faced criticism for comments made in 2021, where he referred to Democrats without children as 'childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives.' Additionally, Vance was found to have made disparaging remarks about childless Americans, particularly those in leadership positions, suggesting they were 'more sociopathic' and contributed to the country being 'less mentally stable.'
During an interview, Graham, who himself does not have children, humorously remarked that he might inadvertently validate Vance's assertions. However, he maintained that the focus of the election should be on substantive issues rather than individual comments made by candidates.
