Democratic Senator Cory Booker has stated that he has not yet made a decision on whether he will support President-elect Donald Trump's Attorney General nominee, Pam Bondi. Booker mentioned that he is still evaluating Bondi's record and had not watched all of her responses to other senators.
Booker, who is a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, was also participating in the confirmation hearing for Senator Marco Rubio, Trump's pick for Secretary of State, which was taking place simultaneously. When asked about Bondi's responses during questioning, Booker noted that she had promised to provide more information on several issues.
Booker emphasized that he is not immediately ruling out any of Trump's nominees and is committed to thoroughly examining each one. He acknowledged that some of the nominees raised concerns but stated his intention to fulfill his responsibilities by conducting a comprehensive review.
Additionally, Democratic Senator Peter Welch of Vermont has indicated a willingness to consider supporting Bondi's nomination.
