Actress Selma Blair earned a standing ovation at the Emmys just for being herself.
The “Cruel Intentions” star, who is battling multiple sclerosis, paired her cane with a stunning black gown with yellow embellishments to present the award for outstanding drama series to “Succession” Monday.
The 50-year-old actress, who revealed her diagnosis in 2018, has been open about her struggles and how the MS has changed her life, documenting her new normal in the 2021 documentary “Introducing, Selma Blair.”
Last week, she joined the cast for the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars,” paired with professional dancer Sasha Farber.
“I’m so excited. I’m so happy, so invigorated by this. This is a new chapter of growing my stamina and really healing. Not just healing, but finding huge strength and support,” she told E! News.
“It is for the viewer, because that is what has given me support. In dark times in my life, there are people that have come forward — strangers on the street or on Instagram, my original fans ... I’m doing it for them.”
