Selling Sunset 's Amanza Smith has announced that she is "cancer free" after expressing concern over her own health on the latest season of the popular Netflix show.
The reality TV star, 46, shared that she was awaiting a biopsy over possible cysts in an episode in the sixth season and later suggested concern came following a scan of her uterus.
She has now revealed that the presence was "benign," sharing the news with her followers on Instagram this week following the episodes of the new Netflix series being released just days ago.
Alongside photos of herself, she wrote in a message to her supporters on the platform: "Thank you to everyone for your concerns and well wishes towards my health."
She subsequently announced: "I am happy to tell you that I am in fact, not only cancer free, but also possibly aging backwards and happier than I've been in forever!
"The results of my biopsy were benign! I will continue to be grateful for my health, and even more so now than ever! You realise that if it is in fact, in poor standing, everything else falls secondary."
She added: "I have lost many loved ones to cancer. The most recent one was my adoptive father". Amanza had discussed his passing on the latest season of Selling Sunset.
The real estate agent added in her post that it is a "sensitive subject" and discussing the impact of cancer said it "affects everyone involved in a very heartbreaking way".
She encouraged her followers to "celebrate life" and urged people against making "negative" comments. She said "love, positivity and happiness" have the ability to heal people.
Amanza concluded the post on the platform by expressing gratitude towards her followers, writing: "Big love to you all. Thank you for the support".
The post has amassed more than 80,000 likes on the platform and prompted supportive messages from some of her followers, including a few of her colleagues.
Heather Rae El Moussa and Chelsea Lazkani commented with heart emojis. Whilst Nicole Young wrote: "Beautiful inside and out! And one amazing mother. Love you to the moon and back".
Amanza shared concern over her health on the show, telling Mary Fitzgerald that cysts may have been found during an appointment but suggesting she needed more tests.
She had commented in a confessional: "Recently, there were some things seen on a scan that were questionable. I need to get a biopsy. So y'know, that feels sh***y."
As reported by People, Amanza later told her co-star Mary: "When they did the ultrasound, my uterus on the screen looked ... There's a lot of stuff there and [we] don't know what it is."
"It doesn't look good. There's a wide array of things that it could be, and then the one thing that we pray and hope that it's not," she said, alluding to the possibility of cancer.
