Selling Sunset star Mary Fitzgerald has hit out at Christine Quinn for her 'unfair' comments about Chrishell Stause.
In the explosive trailer for season 5, Christine is heard discussing Chrishell's romance with boss Jason Oppenheim - and she certainly doesn't hold back.
During a chat with co-star Maya Vander, mother-of-one Christine said: "I was wondering why I wasn't getting listings, then I was like, 'Oh yeah it's 'cause I'm not f**king my boss'."
The next clip shows Chrishell talking about with Mary as she says: "That is rich coming from her! And yeah, I am f**king the boss!"
In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, Mary addressed Christine's claim and said she thinks it's "just stupid".
Referring to Chrishell's reaction, Mary said: "She always has funny comments and she's a feisty one, like she's so sweet but she's just very spunky.
"I totally understand because Chrishell has been working so hard and she's done really well, especially this last year, she's been killing it.
"And I think it's really, really unfair for all of her efforts to be taken away from her because she's dating Jason."
Mary continued: "I know firsthand that's not how I get listings, most of mine are from referrals.
"I'm now getting stuff from the show too, but most of mine are from referrals because I've done a good job with them, they refer me to colleagues and friends and neighbours, so it has nothing to do with the fact that Jason and I are friends or we used to date.
"That's not the way it works. You work for listings, you go out and you get your own business, we're independent contractors.
"The fact to even say that, it's just stupid in my opinion because no one, not one brokerage or broker is gonna say, 'oh here, let me just hand out my own business for you and I'll take less money'," Mary added.
Selling Sunset Season 5 lands on Netflix on Friday 22 April, 2022.
