An inquest into the death of a "selfless" and "funny" man killed in a motorbike crash.
Jamie Harrison was killed when his motorbike crashed with a Ford Focus on September 1, Bolton Coroner's Court heard. Jamie, 53, of Ince, was seen by witnesses overtaking on Hall Lane, prior to the crash, police coroner's officer Stephen Wildman told the hearing.
Mr Wildman said: "On Thursday 1 September 2022, Mr Harrison was riding his motorcycle along Hall Lane, towards Hindley in a southerly direction. At the same time, a Ford Focus motor vehicle was being driven along the road in a northern direction, MEN reports.

"Witnesses have seen Mr Harrison overtaking on the road and Mr Harrison has then collided with the Ford Focus, causing him to be unseated from his motorcycle."
Jamie was pronounced dead at the scene at 4.23pm. Following a post-mortem, the provisional cause of death has been recorded as 'multiple injuries'. Mr Wildman confirmed that a police investigation is underway.
Following Jamie's death, his fiancée, Amanda paid tribute to the "love of her life".
In a statement issued via Greater Manchester Police, she said: "As a family we are devastated the loss of my babe (Jamie). It has been such a shock and something we as a family will never be able to comprehend or get over.
"We can't imagine life without you, my handsome man. You were funny, always right and the love of my life.
"You were so selfless when it came to us all and loving. The only solace as a family, is that you died the way you would of wanted to. Rest in peace babe, you are missed so much, big kiss."
The coroner, Simon Nelson adjourned the inquest until February 17, 2023.
