Selena Gomez has shot down reports that she is embarking on a romance with The Chainsmokers singer Andrew Taggart - explaining that she much prefers life as a singleton.
The 30-year-old former Disney star was linked to 33-year-old Andrew earlier this month after they were spotted seemingly on a date together at a bowling alley.
Rumours quickly swirled that the pair were enjoying a low-key, slow paced romance - but now Come And Get It singer Selena has slapped down the whispers.
Taking to Instagram, the pop beauty was quick to dispel the dating rumours telling fans and followers via a story on her account: “I like being alone too much” - along with with the hashtag "I am Single”.
Before breaking her silence, Selena and Andrew were snapped by paparazzi going bowling together in New York City - with a source telling Page Six that they were seen “making out”.
The source claimed: “There was also a group of young girls that went up for pictures from her shortly after and a man getting an autograph.”
Andrew recently split up from Eve Jobs, the daughter of Apple founder Steve Jobs.
Newly single, Selena and Andrew were said to be moving slowly, with a source confiding to US Weekly that Gomez and Taggart are taking things “very casual” and are “low-key”.
The source continued: "They aren't trying to hide their romance by sneaking around at members only clubs. Selena can hardly keep her hands off him."
According to Cosmopolitan, Selena and Andrew have been doing “chill, normal person activities—think bowling and movie dates—and are having a lot of fun together”.
However, Selena's rebuff will likely now kill off those rumours for good.
Selena is currently busy working on the next series of TV show, The Only Murders in the Building, which she has starred in for the two previous seasons.
Alongside Selena and her co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin, Meryl Streep is joining the cast for the next season.
The three-time Oscar winner revealed she would be starring in the show by popping up behind Martin, in a clip that Selena filmed.
In the short video, Meryl offered Martin a pillow and then popped one behind his back, before asking her co-stars if they needed anything.
Selena then turned to the camera and gasped in response to Meryl’s debut.
Paul Rudd was also present in the clip, indicating he would be joining the cast of the show, however it isn’t clear which characters both actors are set to play.
