Selena Gomez recently posted a video on her Instagram story expressing her emotional reaction to the immigration enforcement sweeps initiated by the Trump administration. The video, which was later deleted, showed Gomez in tears as she lamented the impact of the enforcement actions on her community. She apologized and expressed her desire to help, despite feeling powerless.

In a subsequent post, Gomez shared her frustration at the lack of empathy shown towards those affected by the immigration crackdown. However, both posts have since been removed from her social media.

Border czar Tom Homan responded to Gomez's video during an interview, questioning her emotional display and highlighting other issues such as drug-related deaths and human trafficking. Homan criticized Gomez for not showing similar concern for these issues.

The immigration enforcement operation led to over 1,000 arrests across the country, with actions reported in various states including California, Texas, and Georgia. The operation targeted individuals deemed as public safety and national security threats.

ICE reported over 1,100 arrests as of Monday, with multiple agencies collaborating on the apprehensions. The enforcement blitz aimed to address illegal immigration and enhance border security.
