Selena Gomez manifested ‘dream’ Golden Globes nomination more than 10 years ago in prescient interview

Only Globes in the building.

Selena Gomez took to TikTok Tuesday to celebrate her first-ever Golden Globe nomination in the style of a fitting throwback.

The “Only Murders in the Building” star, 30, shared a more than decade-old clip from her appearance on KTLA, during which she said “it would be an honor” to eventually be nominated for a Grammy. That wasn’t her priority though, as far as awards shows are concerned though.

“I‘m more of a Golden Globe or Oscar girl,” the Disney Channel alum laughed at the time.

“Dreams do come true!! GUYS IM NOMINATED FOR A GOLDEN GLOBE,” captioned Gomez. “Brb gonna scream.”

Since the recording of the clip, Gomez has been nominated for a Grammy in addition to this week’s Golden Globe nod. She was nominated for best Latin pop album for 2021′s “Revelacion.”

The nominations, announced Monday, saw Gomez tapped as a contender for best television actress, musical/comedy series for her role in the New York-set Hulu mystery-comedy.

Gomez is up for the award against Quinta Brunson (“Abbott Elementary”), Kaley Cuoco (“The Flight Attendant”), Jenna Ortega (“Wednesday”) and Jean Smart (“Hacks”).

The nod is just the latest achievement in a big year for Gomez, who in May had her first hosting gig on “Saturday Night Live.”

Last month, she celebrated the premiere of “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me,” a documentary about her mental health, namely her diagnosis with bipolar disorder.

Less than two weeks after the Apple TV+ film’s release, the Ruderman Family Foundation awarded Gomez for her mental health advocacy.
