Selena Gomez has urged her fans to "be kinder" as she broke her silence to address the alleged feud between her and Hailey Bieber.
In her first TikTok video since the feud rumours started circulating, Selena admitted her "heart has been heavy" and said people need to consider the mental health of others.
The 30-year-old has been caught up in a social media storm recently, with Hailey being accused of mocking Selena online. Justin Bieber has also been accused of taking aim at Selena, with fans labelling him "petty" and "childish".
Selena took to social media on Sunday to share a new makeup tutorial and seemed to address the feud speculation in the comments section.
"Please, please be kinder and consider others' mental health.
"My heart has been heavy and I only want good for everyone. All my love," she commented.
In another, Selena told fans: "Thank you and love you all so much, I'm deeply grateful for each and every one of you humans. You make me unbelievably happy."
Selena's comments come after fans started to speculate that Justin took aim at his ex-girlfriend while celebrating his 29th birthday.
The singer hosted a birthday party over the weekend and handed out special party favours to guests, gifting his loved ones lighters with the words: "I'm so thankful that I didn't end up with what I thought I wanted."
People have now taken to Twitter to speculate that the phrase is a dig at 30-year-old Selena.
"Pretty childish ..29 going on 14 .. jeez," one person wrote.
Another said: "This is so petty, I mean if that's the way you and your wife feel keep that petty sht to yourself lol and please, you don’t have to mention somebody's name or say 'who' to understand exactly what they talkin abt."
Other people jumped to Justin's defence, with one person explaining: "I adore selena but this is a reach. the lighter refers to the fact that he’s thankful he stayed alive and made it this far to reach 29."
Selena and Hailey have been caught up in the middle of fan speculation that they're embroiled in a feud.
Footage of Hailey mocking Selena's pal Taylor Swift resurfaced on TikTok, with Selena commenting on one video: "So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game."
Selena's fans have since started labelling Hailey a "mean girl" and have been cruelly trolling the model on social media.
