Select your Leeds United XI to face Manchester City as Jesse Marsch given selection headache

Jesse Marsch knows his Leeds United side are coming up against one of the best sides in world football - the best according to the Whites head coach. Marsch will be without Patrick Bamford for this weekend, with the striker hopeful of a return 'to the pitch' next week.

Adam Forshaw, Tyler Roberts and now Crysencio Summerville will not be available for selection between now and the end of the campaign. The Whites boss has a dilemma in terms of who will partner Kalvin Phillips in the heart of midfield.

Mateusz Klich started against Crystal Palace but was replaced by Robin Koch with Marsch opting for a more defensive approach. Junior Firpo has trained this week and could be available for selection to face City, but the Leeds boss said he'd make that call later in the week.

If Firpo is declared fit enough to start then it could mean a move into midfield for Stuart Dallas, a third option to partner Phillips. Marsch also spoke about playing Rodrigo, Joe Gelhardt or Sam Greenwood over Dan James up front.

The Welshman has started the last few games leading the line, but the head coach knows that's not his preferred position. This weekend could prove a free hit for Marsch when it comes to team selection, with nobody expecting Leeds to come away with a result.
