The next stage of Leeds United’s preparations for the upcoming Premier League season sees them face Crystal Palace in Perth. It is the last game of the Whites’ pre-season tour of Australia and the penultimate game before the return of league football against Wolves.
Jesse Marsch will be hoping to see his side sign off Down Under with a victory, especially after the narrow defeat to Aston Villa last time out. The American, however, will not be unduly worried about the outcome of the match if it’s negative given the fact he is still working out his best team.
Marsch, as well as supporters watching the pre-season action, is still coming to terms to picking a team without the benefit of being able to include Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha. Although, each of the new recruits have been able to show what they can offer in pre-season so far with the guarantee that at least one or two will feature on the Premier League’s opening weekend.
The next big question facing the Leeds manager is who he will select in the starting XI to face Crystal Palace. Using the widget below, you can put yourself in Marsch’s shoes and pick the team you believe is best suited to face the Eagles in Perth.
As far as absentees go, Liam Cooper is very unlikely to be available while both Cody Drameh and Archie Gray will be touch-and-go whether they are deemed fit enough to play a part. Everyone else who has travelled to Australia seems good to go, as of Marsch’s last press conference earlier in the week.
We’d love you to get involved with our interactive team selector above and let us know which XI you would pick for the Crystal Palace clash.
