See the Scottish streets named among the 50 best places to live in the UK

SIX Scottish streets have been praised in a new list looking at some of the best places to live in the UK.

The research named a number of residential locations in places like Glasgow and St Andrews with these being among the top 50 in Great Britain.

This research looked at the deprivation index which takes into consideration things like crime levels, employment opportunities, quality of public services and the proximity of schools and public transport.

The analysis was carried out by The Telegraph and prestigious real estate firm Knight Frank.

Among the best Scottish streets to live on was Rubislaw Den North in Aberdeen which boasted an average neighbourhood asking price of £434,810.

The street was praised for its "glistening granite homes" and nearby green space - Hazlehead Park.

The most exclusive properties on this street have access to a "secret garden" which is said to comprise 14 acres of woodlands.

Cleveden Road in Glasgow's West End was also named on the list with it being described as "one of the most in demand residential areas in the city" with the street being popular for its private garden space.

The road was also notable for its proximity to the Hillhead Sports Club and Glasgow's Botanic Gardens.
