The authentic and distinctive beauty and similarities of Thailand and Canada are presented during "Take Your Seat Together", at the Iconluxe Pop Up Space, 1st floor of Iconsiam, Charoen Nakhon Road, until April 30.
Held in collaboration with the Embassy of Canada with the aim to celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Canada and Thailand, the exhibition features a series of large-scale photographic images that reflect the remarkable radiance and diversity of human and natural environments in the two countries.
The images were captured by Randy VanDerStarren, lead photographer and founder of the global photographic stories "Take Your Seat", whose photoshoots and artful narrations are a product of collaboration with his son Spencer VanDerStarren.
The younger VanDerStarren also is a photographer and digital director whose global perspective on preserving the planet shines in his photos and digital work. The images in this collection are informed by his love of the planet and his photographer's ability to capture that love. The exhibition also brings a red director's chair and viewers are invited to "take our seat" in the images. It serves as a symbol of our joy and responsibility to take care of the planet, ourselves and each other.
The famous red chair was built in Thailand and travelled with the pair to exhibitions in 13 countries to date, including Morocco, Japan, Cuba, the US and Canada.
It speaks a universal language of unity, responsibility and individual power that is being shared with audiences around the world.
