After shuttler PV Sindhu clinched a silver medal at the Rio Olympics, Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar dug from the archives a special photograph in which he is seen playing badminton with her.
Akshay and Sindhu were partners during a match for the Premier Badminton League in the capital earlier in 2016. As a team, they played against Abhishek Bachchan and Jwala Gutta.
“Always knew you were an achiever. You managed to convert a cricket obsessed nation to watch badminton. PV Sindhu. Proud,” Akshay captioned the image which he posted on his Twitter account on Saturday.

Sindhu bagged the silver medal in the women’s singles competition of the Rio Olympics.
