After seeing him do sprints before his team’s Week 1 preseason game, it was pretty clear Joe Burrow was nearing a full return at Cincinnati Bengals training camp.
Buy Bengals TicketsThat unfolded Sunday, where Burrow took the field in pads and a helmet for the first time since his appendectomy near the start of camp. He participated in everything but 11 on 11 and had two major highlight throws in seven-on-seven work.
Per Marisa Contipelli of the team, Zac Taylor said Burrow ended up doing more than planned: “The plan was for Joe to take 2 reps during 7-on-7, he ended up taking 10.”
It shouldn’t come as any great shock Burrow was a bit of a tone-setter, nor a surprise at his accuracy on his first day back:

Two of Joe Burrow's best throws of the day.
Ja'Marr Chase called the second throw (to Kwamie Lassiter II) a "dime". #Bengals pic.twitter.com/Pkmpu1T44T
