Work to the Northumberland Line is continuing with the construction of new stations and underpasses under way.

The Northumberland Line will provide a half-hourly service between Newcastle and Ashington - stopping at Bedlington, Bebside, Newsham, Seaton Delaval and Northumberland Park.

Work to build the six stations is now under way by Northumberland Line contractor Morgan Sindall, with the line expected to open towards the end of this year.
