A SECTION of the A1 in East Lothian has been shut in both directions due to several vehicles being overturned by strong winds from Storm Eowyn.
The A1 has been closed between Spott Roundabout and Cockburnspath.
A red weather warning for wind is in place in East Lothian from 10am to 5pm.
Police said in a statement: "The A1 is closed between Spott Roundabout and Cockburnspath due to a number of vehicles overturned.
"Emergency services are in attendance. Please avoid the area."
The Tyne Bridge on the A1 was closed at 6am this morning due to the danger of vehicles potentially being overturned there.
A diversion route is in place.
