The US Secret Service director stated on Monday that the shooter at the Donald Trump rally is believed to have acted alone, aligning with the information provided by FBI officials regarding their ongoing investigation.
During questioning by GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, US Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle confirmed that there is currently no evidence to suggest the involvement of any other individuals in the shooting incident.
When asked directly if she believed the shooter was acting alone, Cheatle responded affirmatively, indicating that she holds that belief based on the available information.
Kevin Rojek, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office, had previously informed the press that their investigation also points towards the shooter acting independently. However, Rojek emphasized that the FBI's inquiry is still in its preliminary stages and ongoing.
