The convention organizers were informed of Cheatle's presence, leading to a confrontation with four senators - John Barrasso of Wyoming, Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Kevin Cramer of North Dakota, and James Lankford of Oklahoma. The senators expressed the sentiment that they owed the people and the president 'answers,' prompting Cheatle to respond that 'this is not the venue' for such discussions.
Furthermore, it has been disclosed that Cheatle participated in a Senate call where FBI Director Christopher Wray briefed lawmakers on the investigation into the shooting incident that occurred over the weekend. Although Cheatle was not initially listed as a participant, her involvement in the call has come to light.
