Secret menu item: Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s Medali gym puzzle solution

Medali’s gym might just be the most memorable in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, for a number of good reasons. Gym leader Larry has one of the best personalities in the game, which is great, but you’ll probably remember this gym best for the obtuse puzzle that you’ll likely need to search for the solution of. Which has probably brought you here. Hi!

The puzzle wants you to discover the secret menu item from the Treasure Eatery. You get one clue, but it might not be enough for you to solve the puzzle with. For everything you need to know, just read through our secret menu item guide below.

Secret menu item – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

To solve this puzzle, simply enter the following ingredients at the Treasure Eatery to get the secret menu item solution:

  • Grilled Rice Balls
  • Medium
  • Extra crispy, Fire Blast style
  • Lemon

If you want to find out how you were supposed to find the answer, just follow our walkthrough below.

As the puzzle begins you’ll be given a hunt regarding a favored seasoning. To get the answer you need, head to the Treasure Eatery and talk to the man at the back in the business suit. This scene somewhat resembles the man that gives you Leftovers in the second generation of Pokémon games. Lemon is the answer you need.

Need you’ll need to find a student, Arval, in town next to the ice cream stand. Grilled Rice Balls are the next solution.

Next up is the gym, and you’ll find Gisela outside. She says to look for “a dark spot surrounded by stairs.” That’ll be behind you, stairs leading to a grate. Interact with the grate to get the Fire Blast clue.

Finally you need to defeat Santiago, and he’ll tell you to listen to the blue bird. Not Twitter. You can find a Squakabilly up the road, sitting on a biker’s head. The bird will announce “Meeydyum!”, which of course means Medium.

Of course, you can just use these clues at the eatery immediately to solve the puzzle.
