The house is set in a 1200-acre estate in the village of Much Dewchurch. Speaking to MailOnline, one local, who didn't want to be named, said: "I know camera crews have been there a lot but I assumed it was the Antiques Roadshow or something to do with the history of the building.
"The Queen held a garden party there once but that was before the new people took over."
The 15th century house is also home to pheasant shoots and fishing. Its swimming pools, large rooms, yurts and a hot tub all feature in the Channel 4 show, where couples open their re; relationships to have sex with other people.
Channel 4 and Firecracker Productions have always declined to reveal the location of the filming and no-one involved with the house has commented on MailOnline's report.
