A second vigil will be held this week for the three boys who died after falling into a frozen lake.
Jack Johnson, 10, his eight-year-old cousin and an 11-year-old friend plunged into the icy water at Babbs Mill nature reserve in Solihull on Sunday afternoon.
A student police officer, aged in his 20s, raced onto the ice and desperately punched his way through to try and save the youngsters.
Tragically the three boys died in hospital while a fourth, aged six, remains critically ill.
A candlelit vigil was held for the victims on Monday night, and a second one will take place this Saturday at 4pm.
Jack's aunt, Charlotte McIlmurray, encouraged anyone wishing to pay their respects to gather where flowers are being laid on Fordbridge Road.
She wrote: "This is so amazing of all the community in this nightmare that two families can't wake from.
"The pain is unimaginable and he was my nephew so I know the pain is a million times worse for their moms, dads, sisters/brothers."
Another relative wrote: "Fly high little man, so hard right now, missing you so much we love you!!!!"
And a third family member said: "Life really can get taken away at any moment, hug your little & loved ones that extra bit tighter tonight."
She added that she is "absolutely devastated" for her family "and all the families involved".
Charlotte's nephew died a hero after diving into the freezing lake to rescue the three boys.
She previously posted online: “The 10-year-old boy is my nephew. He seen one go through the ice and he ran and tried to save them.
“Our prayers and thoughts are with the other family. We are just broken over it.”
West Midlands Police will be in attendance at Saturday's vigil, with singing from a local choir and refreshments from the nearby Kingshurst Pavilions.
It comes after tearful officers paid an emotional tribute to the young boys yesterday, and laid flowers at the scene.
Twenty-one officers were seen crowding around a tree, some breaking down in tears.
Hundreds of colourful tributes now adorn a community shrine set up to remember the 'Babbs Mill Boys'.
Moving tributes have been laid close to the lake, including four balloons in the shape of silver stars and two blue hearts.
One read: “Rest in heaven little ones", while another note with a bunch of flowers said: “Sleep tight little angles. Rest in peace and shine bright.”
A police cordon remained in place on Tuesday - with three officers at the top of it, and a team further down at the lake.
A fourth child, aged just six, remains in a critical condition in hospital.
