An investigation has been ordered into another Victorian exam blunder that has attracted the ire of the education minister.
Six students received the wrong Chinese language VCE exam last week, Education Minister Ben Carroll has confirmed.
Mr Carroll said no student would be punished for the error but he has asked the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority to investigate the mistake.
"It should not have occurred in the first place," he told reporters on Monday.
"I want to reassure those six students and their families they will not be impacted by this and we've got to ensure this is not repeated next year."
The blunder follows typographical errors appearing in a VCE general maths exam last month, triggering a separate investigation and apology.
Mr Carroll said he was disappointed with the exam authority and planned to meet with its leaders on Monday.
"The stuff-ups should not have occurred and that's why I've asked for a full review," he said.
"We know it's stressful enough doing Year 12 ... there's no need to be adding to that stress."
The minister vowed to outline the outcome of the review once it is finalised.
