Victorian Greens leader Samantha Ratnam is the latest state political party leader to contract COVID-19, joining the premier and Opposition leader in being confined to home due to the virus.
Ms Ratnam confirmed on Twitter on Wednesday she had tested positive to the virus and would be in isolation for a week.
"I'm not feeling too unwell so will be able to carry on much of my work online, however I won't be able to participate in Parliament next Tuesday," she tweeted.
The Greens leader said current rules prohibited her from taking part in parliament online, a situation she hopes to remedy once her isolation period is over.
"Because the Govt & Oppn won't support online participation or pairing of votes with xbenchers, we're excluded and can't represent our constituents' views if we're not at Parliament," she tweeted.
"It's unfair & undemocratic, and I'll be working with my colleagues to fix it when I return."
Industry, Tourism and Sport Minister Martin Pakula also tested positive to COVID-19 on Wednesday, joining Premier Daniel Andrews who reported a positive result on Monday.
Opposition Leader Matthew Guy is also isolating after his nine-year-old son caught the virus on Tuesday.
Victoria reported 11,749 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday and seven deaths of people aged in their 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.
All of Wednesday's reported deaths occurred in the past week except for one that occurred in January.
There are 280 people in the state's hospitals including 18 in ICU and five on ventilators.
