A boy, 16, injured in a car crash in Victoria's north on Easter Sunday has died in hospital, marking the second fatality resulting from the collision.
The boy was one of three passengers in a car that veered off the road and rolled into a paddock at a Wangaratta intersection just after 7pm on April 9, and he was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.
A 26-year-old Beaconsfield man was killed in the crash.
Another Beaconsfield man, aged 24, remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the car, 23-year-old Rory Teiffel from Wangaratta, has already faced court over charges resulting from the crash, including culpable driving causing death.
While the 16-year-old boy was Mr Teiffel's younger brother, the other two passengers were his cousins.
Mr Teiffel — who was granted bail at a court hearing on April 11 — is due to reappear in the Wangaratta Magistrates' Court on September 7.
