Police have charged a second man over the alleged murder of a young woman who was shot in the head at a home on the Sunshine Coast on Friday morning.
Feebie McIntosh, 25, was critically injured shortly after 9am on Friday, during a disturbance in Coolum Street, Dicky Beach.
Narangba man Bradley Ian Cotten, 30, was charged with her murder on Friday night, after being intercepted by police and arrested about 20 kilometres away, at Sippy Downs hours after the incident. He appeared in court on Saturday and was remanded in custody.
Police said Ms McIntosh was "dropped" at the Caloundra Base Hospital by a 58-year-old man, who was known to her, but that she later died.
Now police have charged a second, 30-year-old man from Wurtulla, a suburb of Kawana Waters, also on the Sunshine Coast.
He is facing one count of murder, unlawful possession of a category A weapon, two counts of possession of dangerous drugs, and one count each of possession of tainted property, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and unlicensed driving.
The second man has been denied police bail and is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday.
Connections probed
Earlier on Friday, police had said Ms McIntosh and Mr Cotten knew each other and were visiting the owner of the Dicky Beach home when the alleged shooting occurred.
"However, preliminary investigations suggest this is not a domestic-related incident," police said in their statement.
The owner of the home and the 58-year-old man are assisting police with their inquires.
It's not yet known what the connection is with the second accused man.
Meanwhile, after news of her death, dozens of tribute messages have poured in on Ms McIntosh's Facebook account.
