A second man has been charged with the murder of a 23-year-old stabbed to death in Dagenham.
Police and medics were called on Saturday, 20 April, to a 50-year-old man suffering stab injuries in Rothwell Gardens, Dagenham.
But when they were there, they discovered a second man suffering critical stab wounds in nearby Flamstead Road - 23-year-old Haseeb Bhatti, who died at the scene.
Swayf Amana, 26, of Barking, was arrested on Monday and later charged with Mr Bhatti’s murder.
He will appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
The condition of the stabbed 50-year-old man was not life-threatening.
He was discharged from hospital and arrested in connection with the investigation, but he has since been released under investigation.
On Friday, April 26, Frankie Burletson, 24, of Dagenham, was also charged with the murder of Haseeb Bhatti.
He was remanded in custody and will next appear at the Snaresbrook Crown Court on Tuesday, July 16.
Three other men have been arrested and bailed in relation to the investigation.
