A second man has been arrested after evading a large-scale police operation triggered when shots were allegedly fired at pursuing officers.
The 20-year-old man was arrested at Brisbane Airport on Friday, after fleeing the scene as police arrested another man following the pursuit in Sydney's southwest on Tuesday.
NSW detectives will travel to Queensland to apply for his extradition, police said in a statement.
Another man, also aged 20, was arrested after road spikes were used to stop a Hyundai sedan he was allegedly driving at Varroville.
In the earlier pursuit, shots were allegedly fired into the bonnet of a police car, but no officers were injured.
Two pistols, an assault rifle, and spent cartridges were allegedly found in the vehicle at the scene.
Officers scoured the area but there was no sign of the alleged passenger who fled on foot.
The alleged driver, Faez Finau, remains in custody accused of driving and weapons offences.
The two men allegedly fled after an attempted home invasion in Calaria Close at Edensor Park earlier on Tuesday morning.
CCTV footage of a man exiting the Hyundai and trying to kick down the door of a home was released by NSW Police amid an appeal for further information relating to the incident.
