Police have charged a second person with murder after the body of an 18-year-old male was discovered on a Palmerston driveway, east of Darwin, at the weekend.
The body was found on the driveway of a vacant home in the suburb of Driver, early Saturday morning.
In a statement released this afternoon, Northern Territory Police said they had arrested a 17-year-old and also charged him with murder in relation to the death.
He was arrested by members of NT Police's Darwin-based taskforce combating youth crime, Strike Force Trident, and by the Dog Squad Operations Unit.
He will appear in court today.
Yesterday police announced they had charged a 20-year-old man with murder over the death, who faced Darwin Local Court.
His case was adjourned until January.
On Sunday, Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Paul Morrissey said police had identified the alleged victim as an 18-year-old resident of Driver, though the property he had been found at "certainly wasn't near his house".
He also said the man's body had sustained head trauma.
A crime scene was in place for much of the weekend as detectives gathered evidence.
