Second Love Island star quits before entering villa with brutal dig

Love Island is seeing more drama out of the villa than in it at the moment as a second contestant has quit the show before he even entered.

Male model Zach Hartman had been due to enter the luxury Majorcan pad as a bombshell at some point this week but backed out at the last minute.

His decision comes hot on the heels of Liam Llewellyn's shock exit on Friday, and following the first official dumping on the ITV2 reality dating show which saw Afia booted out last night.

Zach has a successful career under his belt already, and has modelled for the likes of Jack Wills, Ralph Lauren and ASOS, according to the Sun.

He's now decided to focus on his work rather than taking the plunge and going on to Love Island.

According to The Sun, he said: "I was meant to be going on Love Island this year and flying out this week. After long conversations with my family and thinking about what I wanted out of my career, I decided against it."

He also made a brutal dig at the other male housemates.

He added: "Would’ve been an easy year to wins seeing as none of the guys have any game on there. But I’ve got to do what’s best for me."

Last night, two new bombshells entered the villa to find love in the sun in Spain, Manchester model Remi Lambert and Edinburgh investment analyst, Jay Younger.

Jay is an investment analyst for Aubrey Capital Management and studied economics and finance at Heriot-Watt University.

The Scot, from Musselburgh, who went to Edinburgh’s Merchiston, reckoned he has it all and could really stir it up with the girls already in the villa who have coupled up.

He said: “I’ve got a good job, I think I am a good looking lad and I have a lot of fun so I feel like I could add a lot of value to their lives if they add a lot of value to mine.”

He also has a claim to fame, his grandfather Tommy Younger was a former Scotland football captain and also played for Liverpool, like Gemma Owen's dad Michael.

The goalie, who passed away in 1984 aged 53, played for Liverpool in the 50s, played 24 times for Scotland between 1955-58 captaining the national side for four games in 1958.

Meanwhile on Friday, Welshman Liam became the first islander to leave the villa.

He said he'd not been feeling himself, and he needed to leave to focus on his mental health.

Speaking to his fellow Islanders, he said: "Obviously we all came here for the same sort of reason, but I haven't been giving 100 per cent Liam. I know what 100 per cent Liam is and I'm miles off that.

"Trying to find someone you leave the villa with that you love, that's the goal. But when you're not feeling that, it makes it a very hard sort of time to find that. I've been thinking long and hard, it isn't spur of the moment, so I've made a decision to leave the villa."

After Liam left, singletons Paige and Afia were saved from having to exit themselves but faced the chop last night after Gemma's ex Jacques entered the villa on Sunday night.
