Second Coronation Street exit in weeks 'revealed' as fans may recognise new arrival

It has been hinted that Weatherfield could be facing a second exit within weeks, according to new spoilers. Next week in Coronation Street, viewers will see Faye Windass trying to bury her true feelings as she prepares to say goodbye to her daughter Miley for a second time.

The youngster returned to the cobbles with her dad, Jackson, back in March. Jackson had been trying to contact Faye after he and their daughter moved back from Canada after a number of years away. Faye and Jackson conceived their child after the two teens slept together at a party with Miley then born in 2015.

But due to their young age, Faye felt she wasn't capable of looking after a child and Jackson took sole custody of Miley and went to live in Canada with his parents. Faye was clearly unnerved by Jackon and Miley's return and claimed she didn't want anything to do with them

However, when her dad, Tim Metcalfe, met with his granddaughter behind Faye's back, and she found out, Faye decided she too wanted to be back in Miley's life. Viewers of the ITV soap have seen watch the character, played by Ellie Leach, struggling to mix her new life with boyfriend Craig Tinker and her old one with Jackson and Miley.

She even kissed Jackson who later told Craig that Faye wanted to be with him, despite accepting Craig's impromptu proposal. But next week, at the precinct, when Miley admits how much she’s going to miss her, Faye hides her emotions. Miley puts pressure on Faye to move to Slough with her and Jackson.

But there's another curveball for Faye in the Rovers when Craig tells Faye that he’s been given a secondment with CID. Faye is quizzed about her feelings for Jackson by her brother Gary and she admits that Jackson tried to kiss her. But it’s Craig she loves and Jackson refuses to accept it.

Gary lures Faye and Jackson to the furniture shop and urges them to talk. Jackson tells Faye that by choosing Craig over him, she’s making the biggest mistake of her life. Meanwhile, Craig arrives at the bistro for a surprise party to celebrate his secondment and is taken aback to find all his family and friends there. Noting that both Faye and Jackson are missing, Craig calls Faye’s phone.

When he hears it ringing in the furniture shop, he heads over. Hearing Craig approach, Faye orders Jackson to hide under a desk as Craig enters the shop. Will he find Faye?

It comes after it was confirmed that Fiz Dobbs will be leaving the street this week. In upcoming scenes, the Underworld machinst will be seen packing her bags before leaving her family behind as she's offered a new job.

Viewers of the ITV soap will see the Underworld machinist being offered a supervisor role by Stephen Reid, telling her it’ll be double the salary she’s on now - but it's based in Norwich. Fiz packs her case for Norwich. In the factory, Izzy Armstrong and Kirk Sutherland offer Fiz their support while Evelyn Plummer and the girls wave Fiz off as she leaves with Tyrone for the station.

But fans need not worry too much as it's unlikely to be a permanent exit for actress Jennie McAlpine, who first joined the long-running soap back in 2001. The soap star recently revealed she was pregnant with her third child, and she said on Loose Women she was due around Easter time.
