The Adelphi Hotel is now the subject of two investigations after a guest was injured at its premises earlier this year.
The famous hotel is the subject of a Liverpool City Council Environmental Health investigation following the tragic death of 21-year-old Chloe Haynes last month. Chloe was found dead having been crushed by a wardrobe on September 10.
Chloe had travelled to Liverpool from Hafan y Mor Haven Holiday Park in Pwllheli, North Wales, where she worked, for a night out. She was sharing a room at the city centre hotel with a colleague, who found her body and raised the alarm.

Three men were initially quizzed by police over Chloe's death, before being released with no further action taken when the circumstances became clear. Merseyside Police have confirmed her death is being treated as "accidental".
It has since been confirmed that Liverpool City Council's Environmental Health department is working with the police on an ongoing investigation into the events surrounding Chloe's death at the Adelphi Hotel.
But now the ECHO can reveal that the Adelphi Hotel - owned by Britannia Hotels - is the subject of a second council investigation following an incident earlier this year.
A spokesperson for Liverpool City Council said: “Liverpool City Council’s Environmental Health Department is currently involved in an ongoing investigation relating to a guest who was injured at the Adelphi Hotel, in May this year.”
There are no other details available related to the incident. But it means the hotel is now the subject of two ongoing probes by the city council's Environmental Health department.
The ECHO has repeatedly tried to contact Britannia Hotels in the days and weeks following Ms Haynes' tragic death on September 10. We have also asked for a response regarding the second council investigation into the hotel related to the incident in which the guest was injured in May.
The company has failed to respond to any of our requests.
