James Maddison has kept his cards close to his chest in relation to a move to Newcastle United this summer. The Magpies have reportedly submitted an improved offer in the region of £50million as Eddie Howe's side look to improve their squad in the final third.
The Foxes playmaker is reportedly open to a move to St. James' Park, with Newcastle able to flex their financial muscles this summer. The Daily Mail claims Leicester are hopeful of offering the creative midfielder a new contract this summer as a result of his fine form.
However, the Magpies interest could either speed up that process or see Maddison asses his options. The 25-year-old featured in Leicester's final game of pre-season against Sevilla, taking to social media to drop a hint on his future.

“Pre season done. Win to top it off,” he wrote on Instagram. “@premierleague season awaits.”
If Maddison finds the back of the net against Thomas Frank's Brentford on the opening day of the season, it'll be the fifth Premier League game in a row. The likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester United have been linked with a move for the England international in the past and a move to St. James' Park would be quite the coup.
