The hit television series “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty,” which traces the storied rivalry between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics during one of the most intense eras of that rivalry in the 1980s is set to debut a second season next month.
Streaming on MAX on August 6, Winning Time shifts its focus to the rise of Bird and Boston as a serious threat in the early 1980s, with Sean Patrick Small reprising his role as The Hick From French Lick and Quincy Isaiah as Earvin “Magic” Johnson, as well as Solomon Hughes as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, John C. Reilly as Dr. Jerry Buss, Jason Clarke as Jerry West and Adrien Brody as Pat Riley.
