Recovery crews are continuing the search in light rain for a second black box from a China Eastern Airlines passenger plane that plunged into a mountainside with 132 people on board.
Footage broadcast on Chinese state broadcaster CGTN showed crews clad in orange jumpsuits shovelling on steep slopes and marking pieces of aircraft wreckage found.
A first black box found on Wednesday was the cockpit voice recorder based on an early assessment, a Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) official told reporters.
The recording material appeared to have survived the impact in relatively good shape. although the box itself was damaged, and was being sent to Beijing for analysis, the official said.
Flight MU5735 was en route from the south-western city of Kunming to Guangzhou on the coast on Monday, March 21, when the plane suddenly plunged from cruising altitude at about the time when it should have started its descent before landing.
Some human remains and parts of the wreckage of plane have been recovered at the crash site, an official said at a press briefing on Thursday.
The recovery efforts have been affected by continuous rainfall: The site is slippery and muddy, which has hindered search and rescue work to some extent.
China Eastern Airlines' Boeing 737-800 aircraft crashed into a mountainous area in Tengxian County, causing a fire.
According to China Central Television (CCTV), Wuzhou city organised 70 psychologists to be on standby at the crash site, ready to provide psychological counselling.
China Eastern Airlines has set up a 300-person assistance team to ensure that each family has more than three staff to provide support, reports China News Agency.
