A multi-agency search is under way for a swimmer who got caught in a rip at a popular Sydney beach.
Emergency services were called to Bronte beach in Sydney's east just before 8pm on Sunday after reports a man was seen in the water before failing to resurface.
Jet skis, rescue boats and a helicopter resumed a search on Monday morning after authorities failed to find the swimmer during an extensive search on Sunday night.
NSW Police, surf lifesavers and the NSW Ambulance helicopter are taking part in the search.
Anyone with information has been urged to contact police.
