Search For Missing Real Estate Agent Suzanne Simpson Intensifies

police

Authorities have redirected their efforts in the search for Suzanne Simpson, a 51-year-old luxury real estate agent and mother of four who went missing in Olmos Park, Texas. The search has now entered its third week, with police focusing on wooded areas surrounding her residence.

Simpson disappeared on October 6 following an alleged altercation with her husband of 22 years in Olmos Park, located outside San Antonio. Despite a search at a local landfill yielding no evidence related to her disappearance, law enforcement officials remain committed to locating her.

Olmos Park Mayor Erin Harrison confirmed that the search operation will now concentrate on the wooded regions in and around Olmos Park. The Olmos Park Police Department has enlisted the support of Texas Search and Rescue, a nonprofit organization based in Austin, to aid in the search efforts.

Simpson's sister, Teresa Clark, expressed gratitude for the ongoing search efforts, emphasizing the importance of finding her missing sibling. Clark highlighted Simpson's role as a devoted mother, underscoring the urgency of the situation.

Described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes, Simpson was last seen wearing a black dress on the night of her disappearance. A neighbor reported witnessing a physical altercation between Suzanne and her husband on the same evening, followed by distressing sounds emanating from a nearby wooded area.

Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas expressed concerns over Brad Simpson's lack of cooperation with authorities, noting his unresponsiveness to interview requests. Brad Simpson is currently detained at Bexar County Jail on charges related to assault, family violence, and unlawful restraint stemming from the October 6 incident.

Despite a $2 million bond set for Brad Simpson, a federal detainer issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on a firearm-related charge has prevented his release. The federal charge pertains to the illegal possession of a firearm, as detailed in court documents.
