Gardaí have stood down the search for missing 22-year-old David Slanina after the discovery of a body in Sligo on Wednesday afternoon.
David’s family became concerned for his welfare last week and subsequently asked An Garda Síochána for assistance in locating him.

David left his home at approximately 4:30pm that Saturday to go for a run in the locality, however, an alarm was raised after he failed to return to his house.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Gardaí said that: “An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance.”
