Police continue to search a lake in central Tasmania following reports of a person overboard.
A bystander alerted authorities that a man fell from an aluminium boat at Boundary Bay in Great Lake about lunchtime on Thursday.
Police believe the man is from north west Tasmania and was fishing alone.
Tasmania's Great Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Australia with an area of 158 sq km.
Police have located and taken the boat to shore but marine, ground and aerial units, along with community members, continue to search for the missing man.
