Six people have walked away unscathed after a seaplane made an emergency landing off a Whitsunday island.
A police spokesman said the aircraft came down on near Hamilton Island shortly before 1pm.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the six passengers were able to remove themselves from the plane.
Paramedics assessed the passengers and no injuries have been reported.
In a statement, Hamilton Island said the aircraft experienced "difficulties" that resulted in a "precautionary landing".
The plane sustained minor damage in the incident.
In a statement, the Australian Transport Safety Bureau said it had received a report about a "forced landing incident involving a de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver floatplane".
"The aircraft, with six people on board, was reported to have conducted a forced landing on the water shortly after take-off due to engine power loss," the statement read.
"No injuries were reported.
"The ATSB is currently gathering further information to inform a decision on whether to investigate."
Following the incident, the island's airport was temporarily closed but has since resumed operating.
