Seann Walsh has told of his surreal sofa confessional alongside Hollywood stars — and the telly watching nation — as he recalled 'the worst moment of his life' when he was caught cheating on his girlfriend.
The comedian, 36, was thrust into the media circus after a snap of a drunken snog with Strictly pro Katya Jones while she was married to Neil Jones and he was in a relationship with now-ex girlfriend Rebecca Humphries.
The comedian, told Rossy on the show: "I will always be sorry about what I did. I think when it all blew up, I don’t think I reacted in the correct manner. I didn’t know what to do, it was huge."
Jones also apologised and said the incident “didn’t reflect on her marriage” and she loved her husband Neil.
But Walsh was further slated for his 'painful' public apology on The Jonathan Ross Show appearing alongside Hollywood stars Samuel L. Jackson and Brie Larson, who had spoken about their roles in new film Captain Marvel, seemed bemused by it all.
While The Voice judges Will.i.am and Jennifer Hudson also stayed quiet as they listened to Seann's apologies.
None of the baffled Americans appeared to have a clue about the Strictly snog saga.
Fans reacted on Twitter at the time with one tweeting: "Well this is painful. Time to move on now I think. The Americans must be wondering what’s going on.
Another added: "It's so AWKWARD watching @seannwalsh talk about his cheating scandal on #TheJonathanRossShow @wossy in front of @SamuelLJackson @iamwill & @IAMJHUD"
And the interview has once again been brought into the spotlight as Walsh discussed it in the jungle and confided in Corrie star Sue Clever — and the nation back home — about his experience.
He told the Eileen Grimshaw actress: 'Me and my dance partner, who was married, I was in a relationship, we were photographed kissing when we were on Strictly Come Dancing … that was the front page of every newspaper.'
Seann then added: 'I said sorry. I sat on Jonathan Ross's TV show and apologised. I sat next to will.i.am and Samuel L. Jackson and apologised.
''That will forever be the weirdest moment of my life and I have to say probably the worst moment of my life.''
But back in the jungle camp mate Sue admitted she felt Walsh was 'brave' for putting himself in the spotlight appearing on the show.
She told The Bush Telegraph: 'He's a lovely lad. He's a sensitive soul, very sensitive soul. He's been through the ringer the last three years. I think he's really brave and I'm glad he's here.''
Meanwhile Walsh added to the same publication: ''I just want to move on. It's really nice to have people that will listen and are so lovely and wonderful.''
