Former UFC champion Petr Yan saw his struggles continue on Saturday when he suffered a lopsided loss to Merab Dvalishvili in the UFC Fight Night 221 main event.
Yan (16-5 MMA, 8-4 UFC) could not get any consistent offense going against the relentless pressure of Dvalishvili (16-4 MMA, 9-2 UFC), and as a result he came out of the wrong end of a unanimous decision in the bantamweight headliner at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas.
Not long ago Yan was on top of the world wearing UFC gold, but now he’s on a three-fight losing skid and has four losses on his record from the past five fights.
What does that mean for Yan’s future going forward? Watch the video above for thoughts and analysis on his future after UFC Fight Night 221.
