Kamaru Usman has hit uncharted waters in his career after he failed to recapture the welterweight title from Leon Edwards in the UFC 286 main event.
After he had his near-record winning streak halted by Edwards (21-3 MMA, 13-2 UFC) this past August, Usman (20-3 MMA, 15-2 UFC) couldn’t capitalize on his chance for revenge in the rubber match and lost by majority decision at The O2 in London.
It’s the first time in Usman’s career that he has lost consecutive fights, and at 35, there are questions about what more he has left to give to the sport.
